The OETIKER 15500019-100 is a 1-ear stepless clamp designed for secure, permanent hose and tubing connections in plumbing, HVAC, and fluid-handling applications. Manufactured from stainless steel, this clamp features a 7 mm band width and 0.6 mm wall thickness, delivering consistent clamping force around the full circumference of the hose or fitting. The single-ear design is crimped with a pincer tool to create a tamper-evident, vibration-resistant seal. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors rely on this style of clamp where a smooth, low-profile connection is required and re-usability is not a priority.
This clamp is suited for residential and light commercial installations involving PEX tubing, corrugated stainless steel tubing fittings, coolant hoses, and similar flexible conduit connections. The clamping range of 28.5 mm to 31.6 mm corresponds to a nominal size of 1-1/4 inches, making it appropriate for standard 1-1/4-inch hose and fitting assemblies. It is commonly used in hydronic heating systems, domestic water distribution, and refrigerant line insulation jacketing where a clean, finished appearance is required.
Designed for use with 1-1/4-inch nominal hose and tubing assemblies falling within a clamping range of 28.5 mm to 31.6 mm outer diameter, including PEX, corrugated, and flexible rubber hose applications requiring a permanent crimp-style connection.
Installation requires a calibrated pincer or ear-clamp crimping tool rated for the ear width; do not attempt to close the ear with pliers, as uneven force will compromise the seal. Depressurize and drain the line completely before removing any existing clamp or fitting. This is a permanent, single-use clamp and cannot be reopened and reused after crimping. Follow applicable plumbing code requirements, including IPC or local amendments, for approved connection methods on potable water systems.
