The OATEY oat-39017 is a 160 DFU-rated Sure-Vent Air Admittance Valve with a 1-1/2 inch or 2 inch PVC adapter, designed for use as a secondary vent in residential and light commercial drain, waste, and vent (DWV) plumbing systems. Air admittance valves allow air into the drain system under negative pressure to prevent siphoning of trap seals, while keeping the vent stack closed under neutral or positive pressure conditions.
