The OATEY oat-35515 is a high-temperature furnace and stove cement formulated for sealing and repairing refractory surfaces in heating systems and combustion equipment. Packaged in a 1/2-gallon container, this product uses a patented formula that meets OSHA requirements for crystalline silica content of less than 0.1 percent. It applies smoothly and adheres to most building materials without shrinking, cracking, or crumbling after cure. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and heating contractors use this cement for maintenance and repair work on boilers, furnaces, stoves, and related combustion equipment where a durable, heat-resistant seal is required.
This cement is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving oil, gas, coal, and wood-burning heating systems. It is appropriate for sealing and repairing boilers, furnaces, fireboxes, flue pipes, stoves, ducts, kilns, chimneys, combustion chambers, and other furnace refractory surfaces. The 1/2-gallon size is practical for service contractors performing routine repairs or larger patch jobs on refractory linings and joints.
Designed for use on oil, gas, coal, and wood-burning heating systems including boilers, furnaces, fireboxes, flue pipes, stoves, ducts, kilns, chimneys, combustion chambers, and other furnace refractory applications.
Installation is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians or heating contractors. Shut down and allow the heating system to cool completely before applying cement to any combustion surface or flue connection. Follow local codes and manufacturer guidelines regarding curing time before returning the system to service. Avoid applying to surfaces that are wet or actively exposed to combustion gases during the curing period.
