The OATEY K2802PCPO is a chrome-plated solid brass push fit straight valve with a quarter-turn ball mechanism, designed for residential under-sink and appliance water supply shutoff applications. The valve connects 1/2-inch push fit (PF) inlet to a 3/8-inch OD compression outlet without solder, crimping, or threading. The push fit design locks tubing in place on insertion, giving plumbers and skilled DIYers a fast, reliable connection. Chrome plating provides a finished appearance suited for exposed installations under sinks and in vanity cabinets.
This valve is used in residential plumbing applications where a local shutoff is needed at the supply line for sinks, dishwashers, and ice makers. The push fit inlet is compatible with copper, CPVC, and PEX tubing at the 1/2-inch size. The quarter-turn ball mechanism allows full open or full close without a stem packing point of failure, which is a common callback issue with older compression stop valves.
Compatible with 1/2-inch copper, CPVC, and PEX tubing on the inlet side. The 3/8-inch OD outlet connects to standard compression supply lines for sinks, dishwashers, and ice makers.
A licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson should shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before installation. Ensure tubing is cut square and deburred before inserting into the push fit fitting to achieve a proper lock and seal. Follow local plumbing code requirements, which may reference IPC or UPC standards for approved fitting types and materials. Do not use thread sealant or pipe dope on the push fit inlet.
