The OATEY COMPANY 42724 is a one-piece PVC floor drain designed for residential and light commercial drainage applications. It features a 3.75-inch deep sump bowl that solvent welds over 2-inch Schedule 40 DWV pipe, making it a direct fit for standard plumbing rough-in. The deep P-trap design retains water longer than shallow traps, slowing evaporation and maintaining the water seal that blocks sewer gases. An internal 1.5-inch-14 NPT cleanout plug comes pre-installed, and an optional backwater valve device is available to prevent sewage backup during surcharge events. The strainer is constructed from reinforced polypropylene.
