The OATEY COMPANY 31128 is a medium-bodied, orange CPVC pipe cement formulated for solvent-welding CPVC pipe and fittings in potable water pressure systems. Supplied in a 4 oz can, it delivers a reliable chemical fusion bond on copper tube size (CTS) Schedule 80 CPVC pipe and fittings up to 6 inches in diameter. The orange color distinguishes it from PVC and ABS cements on the job site, reducing misapplication risk. This cement exceeds ASTM D-2846 and ASTM F-493 performance standards and carries NSF certification, making it appropriate for use on systems that carry drinking water. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers.

Installation Notes
