The OATEY COMPANY 25210 is a yellow pipe thread compound designed for sealing threaded pipe joints in gas and liquid service lines. Sold in a 4 oz jar, this slow-drying formula bonds to metal and plastic pipe materials and remains workable long enough to allow proper joint assembly. It tolerates temperatures from -50 degrees F to 400 degrees F and holds pressure ratings of up to 3000 psi on gas lines and up to 6000 psi on liquid lines. Formula 55 yellow thread compound is suited for use on LP and natural gas lines as well as liquid-service piping. Installation Notes
