The OATEY COMPANY 14055 is a flexible roof flashing designed to seal pipe penetrations through residential and light commercial roofing systems. Known as the Masterflash, this unit accommodates pipe diameters from 5 inches to 9 inches, making it a multi-size solution for a single installation point. The EPDM collar molds to metal, plastic, and other pipe materials, forming a weather-tight seal rated for continuous heat exposure up to 212 degrees F. It is approved for Type B gas vent installations and is designed to handle roof pitches up to 45 degrees. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and roofing contractors install this flashing during new construction and service calls.
This flashing is suited for corrugated metal roofs and standard sloped roofing surfaces where a flexible, conforming seal is required. The base slides over the pipe rather than requiring a bottom-up installation, which simplifies retrofits on existing penetrations. Silicone sealant applied between the base and the roof surface, combined with sheet metal screws, secures the flashing to the deck. It is appropriate for residential gas appliance venting, plumbing vent stacks, and similar pipe-through-roof applications where pipe diameter falls within the 5 to 9 inch range.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation flashing for roof pipe penetrations with outside diameters between 5 inches and 9 inches, including Type B double-wall gas vent systems on pitched roofs up to 45 degrees.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or roofing contractor. Before beginning, shut off the appliance or system connected to the vent pipe. Slide the flashing base over the pipe from above, apply a continuous bead of silicone sealant between the flashing base and the roof surface, and fasten securely with sheet metal screws at the base perimeter. Follow local building codes and the appliance manufacturer's venting requirements for Type B vent clearances and termination height.
