The OATEY COMPANY 11841 is a stamped galvanized base roof flashing designed for 1-1/2 inch pipe penetrations through residential and light commercial roofing systems. The flashing slides over the pipe without caulk and accommodates roof pitches up to 40 degrees, making it suitable for a wide range of sloped roof applications. A built-in sealing collar creates a weather-tight barrier at the pipe-to-roof junction. The galvanized steel construction resists rust and will not fade over time, providing a long-service installation that requires minimal maintenance after fitting.
This flashing is used wherever a 1-1/2 inch pipe penetrates a sloped roof deck, including plumbing vent stacks, B-vent flue pipes, and similar applications in residential new construction and replacement service work. Plumbers and roofing contractors install this flashing as part of rough-in and stack-out work on gable, hip, and shed-style roofs with pitches up to 40 degrees. The caulk-free design speeds up the installation process and eliminates a common long-term leak point.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-construction flashing for 1-1/2 inch pipe roof penetrations on sloped roofs up to 40 degrees pitch.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or roofing contractor during rough-in or reroof service. Ensure the pipe is fully through the roof deck before sliding the flashing into position, and secure the base flange to the roof deck per local building code requirements. No caulk is required at the collar, but roofing cement or appropriate flashing tape should be applied under the base flange at the roof surface per local IRC or IBC guidelines. Do not attempt to stretch or force the collar over an oversized or non-standard pipe diameter.
