The OATEY 30013 is a No. 5 paste flux formulated for soldering copper and other common metals in plumbing, HVAC, and light mechanical applications. It combines a strong cleaning agent with fluxing action, allowing it to remove surface oxidation and prepare the joint in a single step. The formula is 100 percent lead free, making it suitable for potable water systems where lead-containing materials are prohibited. Supplied in a 4 oz container, it is the standard shop-and-van size used by plumbers and HVAC technicians for everyday sweat-joint work.

This paste flux is used in residential and commercial plumbing installations wherever copper tubing is joined by soldering. Installation Notes
