The NVENT NVENT-CCC0212 is a cushioned strut clamp designed to secure 2-inch copper tube or pipe to standard 1-5/8-inch strut channel while dampening vibration and reducing noise transmission. The clamp uses a polypropylene cushioned insert with a split lining that snaps directly onto the tube and can be rotated into position before the clamp is tightened. A two-piece zinc chromate steel clamp body fits under the lip of the strut channel and closes around the insert and tube, secured with a square-neck carriage bolt and nylon locknut. Plumbers, mechanical contractors, and pipe fitters install this clamp in copper piping and tubing systems where vibration isolation is required.
This clamp is suited for residential and commercial mechanical systems where copper tube lines run along strut channel support structures. Typical applications include chilled water lines, refrigerant suction lines, domestic water distribution, and HVAC piping assemblies. The cushioned insert absorbs shock and prevents metal-to-metal contact between the tube and the clamp body, making it appropriate for systems with pump or compressor-induced vibration. The maximum operating temperature of 145 degrees F limits use to low- and medium-temperature fluid systems.
Designed for 2-inch copper tube with a maximum outside diameter of 2-1/8 inches, mounted to 1-5/8-inch strut channel. Suitable for pipe and tube applications within a maximum operating temperature of 145 degrees F.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or mechanical contractors following applicable IPC and IMC guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the piping system before repositioning or replacing clamps on live lines. Snap the cushion insert onto the tube, rotate it to the desired orientation, then seat the two-piece clamp body under the strut channel lip and tighten the nylon locknut securely. Do not exceed the 145 degrees F maximum operating temperature rating of the polypropylene insert.
