The NVENT NVENT-CCC0037 is an insulated strut clamp designed to secure 1/4-inch copper tubing to standard strut channel. The clamp uses a steel body with a zinc chromate finish for corrosion resistance, paired with a polypropylene cushion that dampens vibration and prevents direct metal-to-metal contact with the copper tube. It mounts to 1-5/8-inch strut channel and accommodates tubing with a maximum outside diameter of 3/8 inches. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors use this clamp to support refrigerant lines, water supply tubing, and similar small-diameter copper runs in both commercial and residential installations.
This clamp is suited for applications where copper tubing must be supported along strut channel systems in mechanical rooms, utility chases, rooftop equipment installations, and similar environments. The polypropylene cushion isolates the tube from the steel clamp body, reducing noise transmission and protecting the tube surface from abrasion. The installed height is 1-2/5 inches, making it compatible with standard strut layouts. It is rated for service up to 145 degrees F, which covers typical domestic hot water and refrigerant suction line temperatures found in residential and light commercial work.
Designed for use with 1/4-inch copper tubing on 1-5/8-inch strut channel systems typical of residential and light commercial mechanical installations.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians working with copper tubing support systems. Shut off and depressurize any active lines before repositioning or adding clamps to an existing run. Ensure the strut channel is properly anchored before loading clamps per applicable mechanical codes. Do not over-tighten the clamp fastener against the cushion, as excessive compression can reduce the vibration-dampening effect.
