The NVENT F88G96 is a lay-in type wireway straight section designed for organized routing and protection of electrical conductors in commercial and industrial wiring applications. The section measures 96 inches in length with an 8-inch width and 8-inch height, constructed from 14/16 gauge steel on both the body and cover. The ANSI 61 gray polyester powder-painted finish provides a clean, durable surface suitable for indoor environments. The combination hinged and screw cover design allows for fast access during installation and future maintenance. The enclosure meets NEMA 1 and IP30 ratings, making it appropriate for general-purpose indoor use where protection from solid objects is required.
This wireway straight section is used in commercial electrical installations where conductors must be routed in an orderly, accessible manner along walls, ceilings, or equipment panels. The lay-in design simplifies conductor placement without the need to thread wires through a conduit. It is typically installed by licensed electricians working on distribution panels, switchgear rooms, motor control centers, and large commercial or light industrial facilities. No knockouts are included, keeping the enclosure clean for applications where a sealed body is preferred. Open top assembly with captivated plated screw fasteners is included for secure cover attachment.
Designed as an OEM-style lay-in wireway straight section for use in general-purpose NEMA 1 indoor wireway systems. Compatible with corresponding wireway fittings, elbows, tees, and end covers in the same product family where dimensional matching is confirmed.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the work area before opening covers or placing conductors. Secure the wireway to the mounting surface using appropriate hardware rated for the load before pulling conductors. Do not exceed the conductor fill capacity specified by NEC Article 376 for metal wireways.
