The NVENT ASPB is a steel enclosure hole seal designed to close unused or knockout openings in electrical enclosures. It maintains the integrity of the enclosure against dirt, dust, oil, and water ingress, meeting dirttight, dusttight, oil-resistant gasketed, and watertight ratings. The sealer features a 1.75-inch diameter cover plate that fills a 1.25-inch hole opening and mounts with a 10-32 TPI threaded stud and wing nut for tool-free or minimal-tool installation. The polyester powder-painted finish in ANSI 61 Gray matches standard enclosure finishes. Licensed electricians and panel builders install this part during enclosure assembly or field modification of control panels and junction boxes.
This hole seal is suited for use on steel electrical enclosures in industrial, commercial, and utility control panel applications. It is rated for enclosures with a wall thickness of 0.31 inches. Typical install scenarios include sealing unused conduit knockouts in NEMA-style enclosures after routing is finalized, or blanking holes left by relocated components. The UL and CSA approvals make it appropriate for use in panels built to UL 508A standards.
Designed for use on steel enclosures with a wall thickness of 0.31 inches and a 1.25-inch knockout or hole opening. Suitable for panels built to UL 508A requirements. Sold individually.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified panel builders. De-energize all circuits and verify the enclosure is fully powered down before opening or modifying any electrical enclosure. Seat the gasket flat against the enclosure surface and tighten the wing nut by hand until the gasket compresses evenly to maintain the rated environmental seal. Verify the hole diameter matches the 1.25-inch specification before installation to ensure proper gasket seating and rating compliance.
