The NU-CALGON NUCAL-4370-08 is a liquid flush solvent formulated to clean and flush hydronic and HVAC fluid systems. Supplied in a 5-gallon pail, it is used to remove scale, deposits, and contaminants from internal system surfaces before system startup, maintenance service, or chemical treatment. The solvent is clear in color and liquid in form, making it easy to circulate through system loops. HVAC technicians, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors working on boiler and chilled water systems are the primary installers and applicators of this product.
This flush solvent is intended for use in boilers, heat exchangers, hot water systems, and chilled water systems. It is well suited for pre-commissioning flushes on new hydronic installations as well as maintenance flushes on existing systems that have accumulated scale or biological deposits. The 5-gallon pail size supports full-system flushes on light commercial and residential hydronic applications without the need for multiple smaller containers.
Designed for use in boilers, heat exchangers, hot water systems, and chilled water systems as stated by the manufacturer. Consult the product technical data sheet and system design specifications before use to confirm compatibility with system metals, elastomers, and existing fluid chemistry.
Application of flush solvents in hydronic systems is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, or mechanical contractors. Isolate and power down boilers, chillers, and associated electrical equipment before introducing flush chemicals into the system loop. Follow the manufacturer dosage and contact-time instructions, then fully purge and rinse the system before recharging with system fluid or inhibitor treatment. Dispose of spent flush solution in accordance with local environmental regulations.
