The NU-CALGON NUCAL-4316-46 is a synthetic polyol ester (POE) refrigeration oil formulated for use with HFC refrigerants in commercial and residential refrigeration systems. Sold in a 1-gallon container, this oil is engineered to maintain viscosity stability and lubrication performance across a wide operating temperature range. It is appropriate for low, medium, and high temperature refrigeration applications. HVAC and refrigeration technicians use this oil during compressor service, system retrofits, and oil top-off procedures where HFC-compatible lubricant is required.
This refrigeration oil is suited for systems operating on HFC refrigerants, including retrofit applications where an existing system is being upgraded from older refrigerant types to newer HFC alternatives. It is applicable across low, medium, and high temperature refrigeration systems, making it a versatile lubricant choice for technicians servicing a broad range of commercial and light commercial refrigeration equipment.
Designed for use with HFC refrigerants in low, medium, and high temperature refrigeration systems, including retrofit and upgrade applications from older refrigerant types to HFC alternatives.
Refrigeration oil service should be performed by a licensed HVAC or refrigeration technician. Recover and reclaim all refrigerant before opening the system in accordance with EPA Section 608 requirements. Use dedicated, moisture-free equipment when handling POE oils, as they are hygroscopic and will absorb moisture on exposure to air. Minimize the time the system is open to atmosphere during oil service procedures.
