The NU-CALGON NUCAL-4296-51 is a rubberized aerosol spray coating designed to seal leaks in condensate pans and drain components found in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Applied directly from the can, it cures in approximately 20 to 30 minutes and bonds to metal and most plastic surfaces. The flexible, rubberized film stays in place across a service temperature range of -10 to 250 degrees F, resisting freeze-up and sag under normal operating conditions. At 16 oz per can, it is a compact, cost-effective repair option for HVAC and refrigeration technicians handling nuisance pan leaks in the field.
This product is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC and refrigeration service work. It is used to repair troublesome leaks in condensate drain pans, auxiliary pans, and similar sheet metal or plastic components. The CFC-free aerosol formula can be applied in moist conditions, making it practical for equipment that cannot be fully dried before service. HVAC technicians typically reach for this product during routine maintenance calls or emergency leak mitigation when pan replacement is not immediately practical.
Designed for use with refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Suitable for application on condensate pans, auxiliary drain pans, and similar components constructed from metal or most plastic materials.
This product is typically applied by a licensed HVAC or refrigeration technician. Before applying, power down the equipment at the disconnect and remove standing water from the pan area as much as conditions allow. Shake the can thoroughly and apply an even coat over the leak area, allowing the full 20 to 30 minute cure window before restoring power. Follow all aerosol safety precautions including adequate ventilation and keeping the can away from open flames or ignition sources.
