The NU-CALGON NUCAL-4182-35 is a high-viscosity, pressurized bubble-type gas leak detection solution designed for HVAC and refrigeration technicians performing leak checks on pressurized systems. Packaged in a 7-ounce pressurized spray can, Cal-Blue Plus applies a stable, long-lasting bubble film to joints, fittings, valves, and tubing surfaces. The high-viscosity formula keeps the solution in contact with the applied surface long enough to reveal even the smallest leaks. This formulation is rated for freeze protection down to 5 degrees F, making it suitable for year-round field use in most climates. It is non-corrosive to metal, protecting the integrity of copper tubing, brass fittings, and steel pipe during and after application.
Cal-Blue Plus is used by HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, and gas service professionals on both residential and light commercial systems. Typical applications include checking brazed refrigerant line joints, Schrader valve cores, flare fittings, compression fittings, and gas piping connections. The pressurized spray format allows precise, hands-free application to hard-to-reach fittings and overhead connections. It is well suited to routine maintenance checks, post-installation leak verification, and service calls where a reliable bubble test is required before system pressurization or refrigerant charge confirmation.
Designed for use on pressurized refrigerant lines, HVAC system components, and gas piping assemblies where a non-corrosive bubble-type leak detection solution is required. Suitable for use with copper, brass, and steel fittings and connections.
Apply only to pressurized systems where safe operating pressure has been confirmed; do not apply to open or unpressurized lines where bubble formation cannot indicate a leak. Shake the can before use and spray a controlled amount directly onto the joint or fitting, then observe for bubble formation. After leak testing is complete, wipe away any residual solution with a clean cloth to keep the work area dry. This product is intended for use by qualified HVAC, refrigeration, or gas service technicians following applicable local codes and safety procedures.
