The NU-CALGON 4289-05 NuLock Refrigerant Thread Sealant is an anaerobic-based formulation designed for metal fastener thread locking and sealing, including metal flange connections. This sealant is particularly effective for flare fittings in HVAC/R systems, enhancing sealability and thread locking against vibration. It remains liquid until isolated from oxygen with metal contact, curing into a chemical-resistive cross-link polymer with strong adhesion to metals. It offers both thread sealing and locking, is highly resistant to heat and vibrations, and provides excellent chemical resistance across a wide temperature range.
