The NSI INDUSTRIES G-4 is a heavy-duty bronze ground clamp with a wire adapter designed for grounding and bonding applications on water pipe and rigid conduit. The clamp body is cast bronze, paired with zinc-plated steel screws for corrosion-resistant durability. The wire adapter rotates a full 360 degrees, allowing easy alignment during installation. Serrations on the bronze adapter match the serrations on the clamp body, creating a positive mechanical lock that maintains a secure, low-resistance ground connection. Licensed electricians and grounding contractors install this clamp in residential and commercial electrical systems where a reliable equipment grounding path is required.
The G-4 is suited for connecting a grounding conductor to rigid conduit or water pipe with an outside diameter ranging from 1-1/4 inches to 2 inches. It is commonly used in service entrance grounding, panel grounding electrode systems, and bonding of metallic piping. The bronze construction makes it appropriate for direct contact with copper and ferrous pipe materials in both dry and damp locations.
Designed for use on water pipe and rigid conduit with an outside diameter between 1-1/4 inches and 2 inches. Suitable as an OEM-style grounding clamp in residential and commercial electrical grounding electrode systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC grounding and bonding requirements. De-energize the system and verify the pipe or conduit surface is clean and free of paint, corrosion, or debris before seating the clamp to ensure a low-impedance ground path. Tighten the steel screws firmly so the serrated adapter seats fully against the clamp body. Do not install on plastic or non-conductive pipe.
