The NSI INDUSTRIES 322 is a plastic insulating bushing designed to protect wire insulation from abrasion at the ends of threaded metal conduit. When conduit is cut and threaded in the field, the cut end can have sharp edges that damage wire jackets during pull-through. This bushing threads onto the conduit end and provides a smooth, rounded surface for conductors to pass over safely. It is sized for 3/4-inch conduit and is installed by electricians during rough-in and finish work on commercial and residential electrical systems.
This bushing is suited for use at junction boxes, panels, and enclosures where threaded rigid metal conduit or intermediate metal conduit terminates. It is a standard protective fitting used in conduit systems to meet NEC requirements for protecting conductors at conduit terminations. The plastic construction resists corrosion and provides electrical insulation at the conduit end.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement fitting for 3/4-inch threaded rigid metal conduit and intermediate metal conduit terminations in standard electrical installations.
Installed by licensed electricians as part of conduit system rough-in and termination work. De-energize the circuit and verify power is off before working inside any panel or enclosure. Thread the bushing onto the conduit end by hand until snug before pulling conductors. NEC Article 300 and Article 358 provide general guidance on conduit fill and conductor protection at terminations.
