The NSI INDUSTRIES 264 is a compression-style coupling designed for joining 1-1/2 inch EMT conduit sections in electrical raceway installations. Constructed from zinc electroplated steel, this fitting delivers a concrete-tight seal that meets Federal Specification A-A-50553 and NEMA FB-1 requirements. It carries UL 514B listing for both US and Canadian installations. The compression design eliminates the need for threading and provides a secure mechanical connection that resists moisture intrusion, making it well suited for exposed or embedded conduit runs where environmental integrity is required.
This coupling is used on EMT conduit in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations. It is appropriate for use in concrete poured applications due to its concrete-tight rating. Electricians install this fitting wherever EMT sections must be joined mid-run, including wall chases, ceiling assemblies, and slab-embedded conduit work. The standard package quantity of 25 units suits both single-job pulls and stocking for ongoing service work.
Designed for use on 1-1/2 inch EMT conduit as an OEM-style compression coupling fitting per UL 514B and NEMA FB-1 specifications.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize all circuits in the affected raceway before making or breaking conduit connections. Ensure conduit ends are cut square, deburred, and fully seated into the coupling before tightening the compression nut. Do not overtighten the compression fitting, as this can deform the conduit or fitting body and compromise the mechanical seal.
