The NSI INDUSTRIES 261 is a 3/4-inch compression-style EMT coupling designed to join two sections of electrical metallic tubing without tools or set screws. The coupling creates a secure, steel-to-steel mechanical connection by compressing onto the EMT conduit as the nut is tightened. It is a standard component in conduit runs for residential and commercial electrical installations. Electricians use it in dry, damp, or indoor exposed raceway systems where a clean, reliable conduit joint is required. The 261 is built for fast installation during rough-in work and is sized to fit standard 3/4-inch EMT conduit.
This coupling is suited for 3/4-inch EMT conduit systems in residential wiring, light commercial construction, and industrial panel feeder runs. It is commonly installed in exposed conduit applications inside walls, ceilings, and electrical rooms. The compression design makes it a practical choice when working in tight spaces where a set-screw tool may not be practical. Licensed electricians typically specify compression couplings where a more secure mechanical connection than a set-screw type is preferred.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit compression coupling for 3/4-inch EMT conduit systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize the circuit and verify power is off before working on any conduit system. Slide the coupling onto the conduit ends and hand-tighten the compression nut, then use a wrench to complete the mechanical connection — do not overtighten to the point of distorting the conduit. Ensure conduit ends are cut cleanly and deburred before fitting to maintain a proper seal and grounding path.
