The NSI INDUSTRIES 242-dc is a setscrew-style conduit coupling designed to join two lengths of EMT conduit in electrical raceway installations. Manufactured from die cast zinc with a ball burnished, mirror smooth finish, this coupling meets the same stringent UL listing requirements as steel fittings. It measures 1.44 inches outer diameter by 2.06 inches in length and is sized for 1-inch EMT conduit. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting in commercial and residential wiring systems where a reliable, low-profile mechanical connection between conduit sections is required.
This coupling is used in standard EMT conduit runs where two conduit lengths must be joined end to end. Its setscrew design allows for a secure mechanical connection without threading, making it well suited for straight conduit runs in exposed or concealed raceway applications. The die cast zinc construction provides corrosion resistance and dimensional consistency appropriate for indoor and protected outdoor installations.
Designed for use with 1-inch EMT conduit as an OEM-style setscrew coupling for standard electrical raceway systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize all circuits in the conduit run before beginning work. Tighten setscrews to a firm, secure engagement using the appropriate hex key or screwdriver; do not overtighten to the point of deforming the conduit wall. Inspect the conduit ends for burrs or debris before seating them fully into the coupling.
