The NSI INDUSTRIES 238 is a set screw conduit connector designed to secure rigid metal conduit or electrical metallic tubing to an enclosure, panel, or junction box. The connector measures 3.5 inches and uses a set screw fastening method, which locks the conduit in place mechanically without requiring a wrench on the conduit body itself. This type of fitting is a standard component in commercial and residential electrical rough-in work and is installed by licensed electricians during conduit system assembly.
This connector is suited for use in conduit runs where a reliable, secure transition from conduit to electrical enclosure is required. The set screw design is commonly used in dry or protected interior locations as part of branch circuit or feeder conduit systems. It is typically installed during new construction, panel upgrades, or conduit retrofit projects.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-fit connector for 3.5 inch trade size conduit installations in commercial and residential electrical systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize and lock out all circuits before working on any conduit or enclosure. Insert the connector into the knockout opening, secure the locknut on the interior side of the enclosure, and tighten the set screw firmly against the conduit using an appropriate hex key or screwdriver. Do not overtighten the set screw in a way that deforms the conduit wall.
