The NSI INDUSTRIES 1450 is a bent-tail, self-locking nylon cable tie designed for fast and reliable cable bundling in electrical and low-voltage installations. At 14.1 inches in length and 0.187 inches in width, each tie delivers a 50-pound tensile strength rating and handles bundle diameters up to 4.07 inches. Constructed from high-strength Nylon 66, these ties resist abrasion and a wide range of chemicals including common oils, greases, solvents, and dilute acids and alkaline solutions. The material is also fungus-resistant, self-extinguishing, and carries excellent dielectric properties suited to electrical environments.
The 1450 is well-suited to commercial and residential electrical work, panel wiring, conduit runs, and general cable management tasks. The bent-tail design on these standard-size ties eases insertion into the self-locking head, allowing a technician to wrap and secure a bundle quickly without fumbling. Electricians, low-voltage installers, and HVAC technicians routinely use this type of tie to organize wiring harnesses, control wiring, and service loops. Each standard package contains 100 ties, making them practical to stock for ongoing field or shop use.
Designed as a general-purpose cable tie suitable for standard cable bundling applications in electrical, HVAC, low-voltage, and related trade installations where a 14-inch, 50-pound-rated self-locking nylon tie is specified.
Electricians and low-voltage technicians should de-energize circuits before organizing or securing wiring with cable ties to prevent accidental contact. Insert the tail fully through the locking head until the ratchet engages and the tie seats snugly against the bundle. Trim excess tail flush with the locking head using diagonal cutters to eliminate sharp edges that could damage wire insulation. Follow applicable NEC guidelines for bundling and securing conductors in raceways and enclosures.
