The NORTON 69957308006 is a double cut tungsten carbide rotary burr in the SB-3 cylindrical with end cut profile. It features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter and a 3/4 inch length of cut, mounted on a 1/4 inch shank for use in standard die grinders and rotary tools. The double cut tooth pattern produces faster material removal with a smoother finish compared to single cut styles. At up to 25,000 RPM rated speed, this burr handles aggressive stock removal on a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It is used by machinists, pipefitters, welders, and fabricators for deburring, grinding, shaping, and surface prep work.
The SB-3 cylindrical end cut geometry makes this burr well suited for work in slots, blind cavities, and flat-bottomed recesses where the end cutting face needs to contact the workpiece. It performs on 300 and 400 series stainless steel, cast iron, copper, hard and soft carbon steel, titanium, and tool steel. Typical applications include weld blending, port matching, chamfering, and material removal in tight access areas on fabricated assemblies and pipe components found in industrial, HVAC, and plumbing trade environments.
Rated for use on 300 Series Stainless, 400 Series Stainless, Cast Iron, Copper, Hard Carbon Steel, Soft Carbon Steel, Titanium, and Tool Steel. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use burr for 1/4 inch collet die grinders and rotary tools standard in trade and industrial shop environments.
This burr is installed and operated by machinists, pipefitters, welders, and general fabricators. Before mounting, ensure the die grinder or rotary tool is fully de-energized and the collet is clean and undamaged. Do not exceed the 25,000 RPM maximum rated speed. Always wear appropriate eye protection and gloves when operating rotary burrs, and confirm workpiece is securely fixtured before beginning material removal.
