The NORTON 69957308004 is a double cut tungsten carbide rotary burr in a cylindrical, no-end-cut (SA-3) configuration. Rated to 25,000 RPM, it is designed for aggressive material removal, deburring, shaping, and surface blending on a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The double cut tooth pattern produces faster stock removal than single cut while leaving a reasonably smooth finish. The 3/8 inch cutting diameter and 1/4 inch shank make it compatible with standard die grinders and rotary tools used daily in fabrication, maintenance, and tool-and-die work.
This burr is suited for use in metal fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and tooling environments where precise material removal is required. Its uncoated tungsten carbide head handles a broad range of materials including tool steel, 300 and 400 series stainless steel, cast iron, copper, hard and soft carbon steel, and titanium. It is typically installed by machinists, pipefitters, welders, and metal fabricators working in industrial or trade settings.
Designed as an SA-3 industry-specification cylindrical burr for use with 1/4 inch collet die grinders and rotary tools. Suitable for material removal on tool steel, 300 series stainless, 400 series stainless, cast iron, copper, hard carbon steel, soft carbon steel, and titanium.
Install the shank fully into the collet and tighten securely before operation. Verify that the die grinder or rotary tool is rated to handle the burr speed — do not exceed 25,000 RPM. Disconnect the air supply or unplug the tool before changing burrs. Eye protection and appropriate PPE are required when operating rotary burrs on metal.
