The NORTON 69014192141 is a single end diamond hone designed for precision honing and finishing of tight tolerances, bores, and small internal surfaces. Rated at 100 grit with a Fine grade, it delivers controlled material removal and a refined surface finish on hard materials including carbide, hardened steel, ceramics, and glass. The rectangular hone measures 3/8 inches wide by 1/4 inches high with a 1-inch length of cut and a 4-inch overall length, making it well suited for accessing confined workpieces where a standard hone will not fit. Machinists, tool and die technicians, and precision grinding professionals use this tool in bench and hand-held applications.
This diamond hone is used in tool rooms, machine shops, and maintenance environments where precise stock removal and edge refinement are required on hardened or superhard workpiece materials. The single end configuration and compact rectangular profile allow access to slots, keyways, and small bores. At 100 grit with 100 percent diamond concentration, it is appropriate for finish honing after rough material removal has been completed with a coarser abrasive. It is sold individually and is suited for both production and low-volume repair applications.
Designed as a precision hand hone for use on hardened steels, carbide, ceramics, and other superhard materials requiring fine abrasive finishing.
This hone is a hand tool and does not require mechanical installation. Secure the workpiece appropriately before honing, and use a compatible honing fluid or light oil to extend abrasive life and improve surface finish. Inspect the hone face before use and discard if the diamond layer shows uneven wear or delamination. Always wear appropriate eye protection when performing grinding or honing operations.
