The NORTON 69014191834 is a Type 11V9 cubic boron nitride (CBN) superabrasive grinding wheel designed for precision tool sharpening and grinding applications. Built to the Aztec III specification, it carries a 150 grit, Very Fine grade with a resinoid bond and a CBN concentration of 75. At 3.75 inches in diameter and 1.5 inches overall thickness, it fits bench grinders and tool-and-cutter grinder spindles with a 1.25-inch bore. The 0.0625-inch superabrasive depth and 0.375-inch face width at a 70-degree face angle make it suited for controlled edge work on hardened tooling. Installation and operation are performed by machinists, tool grinders, and maintenance trades.
This wheel is applied in machine shop and tool room environments where hardened steel tooling requires a Very Fine finish cut. The Type 11V9 flared-cup profile and 70-degree face angle are standard for sharpening high-speed steel and carbide-compatible CBN work on bench or pedestal grinders. It supports both wet and dry operation, making it adaptable to shops running coolant-fed grinders as well as dry setups. The Aztec III 150T-1/16 specification designates the CBN layer depth and grit precisely for repeatable, controlled stock removal on precision tooling edges.
Designed as an OEM-style superabrasive replacement wheel for bench grinders and tool-and-cutter grinders accepting a 1.25-inch arbor bore and Type 11V9 cup wheel geometry.
Mounting and dressing of superabrasive wheels should be performed by a qualified machinist or tool grinder familiar with ANSI B11 safety standards for abrasive wheel machinery. Power down and lock out the grinder before mounting or removing the wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before installation and never exceed the rated RPM marked on the wheel. When running wet, confirm that coolant is compatible with resinoid-bonded CBN wheels before use.
