The NORTON 69014191719 is a Type 11V9 cubic boron nitride (CBN) superabrasive grinding wheel designed for precision tool grinding applications. Built with a resinoid bond and a 100-grit fine-grade CBN abrasive layer, this wheel delivers consistent stock removal and surface finish on hardened steels, tool steels, and similar high-hardness workpiece materials. The 70-degree face angle and 3/8-inch face width concentrate the abrasive at the working edge, making it well suited for tool room operations and cutter grinding. It supports both wet and dry operation, giving the operator flexibility based on the machine setup and material requirements. Installed and dressed by toolroom machinists or industrial grinding technicians.
This wheel is intended for bench, pedestal, or dedicated cutter grinder setups where a Type 11V9 cup wheel geometry is required. The 1/4-inch-deep CBN superabrasive layer at a 75 concentration rating provides an extended service life compared to conventional abrasive wheels on hard materials. Typical applications include sharpening and re-grinding of cutting tools, end mills, drills, and similar HSS or carbide-adjacent tooling where a fine finish is required. Wet grinding is compatible with standard water-soluble or oil-based grinding fluids.
Designed for use on cutter grinders and tool room grinding machines that accept a Type 11V9 cup wheel with a 1-1/4-inch hole mount and a 3-3/4-inch diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or grinding technician following the machine manufacturer's mounting instructions. Always power down and lock out the grinder before mounting or dismounting the wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before each use and never exceed the maximum RPM rating marked on the wheel or its packaging. When using wet operation, ensure the grinding fluid system is fully primed before engaging the wheel with the workpiece.
