The NORTON 69014191660 is a Type 11V9 diamond grinding wheel designed for precision grinding of hard and superhard materials. Built with Armored Synthetic Diamond (ASD) abrasive at a 120 grit Fine grade, it delivers controlled stock removal with a smooth surface finish. The resinoid bond holds the ASD abrasive at 75 concentration, balancing cut rate with wheel life. At 3-3/4 inches in diameter with a 1-1/4 inch hole and a 70-degree face angle, this wheel is engineered for tool room and production grinding applications. Licensed trades and tool grinders install this type of wheel on bench grinders and surface grinders for carbide, ceramic, and hard-material tooling work.
This wheel is suited for wet or dry grinding operations, giving shops flexibility based on their equipment setup. The 3/8 inch face width and 1/16 inch superabrasive depth make it appropriate for finishing and light sharpening passes on cutting tools, carbide inserts, and similar hard substrates. It is typically used in tool and cutter grinding, carbide reconditioning, and precision shop work where a fine finish is required on superhard materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit grinding wheel for bench grinders and tool and cutter grinders accepting a Type 11V9 cup wheel with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole and 3-3/4 inch diameter.
Grinding wheel mounting and dressing should be performed by a qualified operator following ANSI B11 and applicable shop safety standards. Always power down and lock out the grinder before mounting or removing the wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before installation and perform a ring test per standard procedure. Do not exceed the maximum RPM rating marked on the wheel or the grinder specification, whichever is lower.
