The NORTON 69014191654 is a Type 11V9 diamond grinding wheel designed for precision tool grinding and sharpening applications. At 3-3/4 inches in diameter with a 220 grit, Very Fine grade abrasive, this wheel delivers controlled material removal and refined surface finishes on hard and brittle materials. It uses a synthetic diamond (SD) abrasive bonded in a resinoid matrix at 100 concentration, supporting both wet and dry operation. The 70-degree face angle and 3/8-inch face width make it well-suited for sharpening carbide tooling, ceramic components, and similar superabrasive work. Licensed tradespeople and tool-and-cutter grinders are the primary installers and users.
This wheel is used in tool room and production grinding environments where fine surface finishes on hard materials are required. The Type 11V9 cup wheel profile is a standard configuration for carbide and ceramic tool sharpening on bench grinders and surface grinders. Its 1-1/4-inch hole size fits common grinding machine arbors. The wheel supports both wet and dry grinding, giving the operator flexibility to match coolant practices to the workpiece material and machine setup.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit grinding wheel for bench and tool-and-cutter grinders accepting a 1-1/4-inch arbor hole with a Type 11V9 cup wheel profile.
Grinding wheel mounting should be performed by a qualified operator following ANSI B7.1 safety requirements, including ring testing the wheel before installation. Always power down and lockout-tagout the grinder before changing wheels. Do not exceed the maximum operating speed marked on the wheel. When wet grinding, confirm the coolant system is properly directed to the grinding face before starting the machine.
