The NORTON 66623340175 is a rigid silicon carbide deburring disc designed for aggressive material removal on metal surfaces. At 7 inches in diameter with a 5/8-inch center hole and arbor connector, this disc mounts to standard angle grinders and bench-mounted arbors. The extra coarse grade and silicon carbide abrasive make it well-suited for removing burrs, flash, and surface scale from ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. At 1/2 inch thick with a rigid construction, it holds its form under sustained pressure. Rated to 8,000 RPM maximum, it is appropriate for use with standard disc grinder equipment in fabrication and maintenance environments. Licensed machinists, pipefitters, and general fabricators are the primary users.
This deburring disc is used in metal fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and industrial production environments where consistent edge finishing is required. It is suited for deburring cut pipe, plate edges, castings, and weldments. The silicon carbide abrasive performs well on aluminum, cast iron, brass, and other non-ferrous or harder alloy surfaces where aggressive stock removal is needed without loading the disc. Its rigid build supports flat and near-flat surface work rather than contour or flexible finishing applications.
Designed for use with standard 7-inch arbor-mount disc grinders and bench grinders accepting a 5/8-inch arbor. Suitable for deburring ferrous and non-ferrous metals in fabrication and MRO applications.
Installation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with abrasive disc equipment and applicable ANSI B7 safety standards. Always disconnect or de-energize the grinder before mounting or removing the disc. Verify that the equipment spindle speed does not exceed the 8,000 RPM maximum rating marked on the disc. Inspect the disc for cracks or damage before each use and never use a damaged disc.
