The NORTON 66623340053 is a Type R quick-change non-woven abrasive disc engineered for surface conditioning, blending, and finishing across a wide range of metal substrates. At 4 inches in diameter with a 150 grit (Very Fine) aluminum oxide abrasive grain, this disc mounts directly to Type R quick-change systems for fast tool-free swaps in production and maintenance environments. The high-loft polyester fiber construction and Clean Bond resin technology resist smearing and loading, maintaining cut rate throughout the disc life. Maximum operating speed is 15,000 RPM. Sold in packages of 25 discs, with a minimum order quantity of 25.
This disc is suited for surface prep, light deburring, and smear-free finishing on stainless steel (300 and 400 series), hard and soft carbon steels, cast iron, ductile iron, gray iron, brass, bronze, copper, titanium, tool steels, super alloys, and fiberglass composites. Compatible machines include die grinders and handheld disc sanders. The flexible backing conforms to contoured workpiece surfaces, making it practical for weld blending and pre-inspection surface conditioning in fabrication and maintenance shops.

Mount the disc onto a Type R quick-change mandrel; ensure the mandrel and disc are fully engaged before operating. Verify the tool's free speed does not exceed the disc's 15,000 RPM rating before use. Always wear appropriate eye protection and follow ANSI B7.1 safe-use guidelines for abrasive products. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and do not use damaged or delaminated discs.
