The NORTON 66623335413 is a Bear-Tex Rapid Prep quick-change abrasive disc designed for surface conditioning, weld blending, and finishing operations on a wide range of metals. Built on a flexible nylon web backing with a Y-weight designation, it uses vortex agglomerated aluminum oxide grain bonded with a proprietary Clean Bond resin system. At 80 grit coarse grade, the disc delivers aggressive material removal while the high-loft non-woven construction conforms to irregular surfaces. It is rated for a maximum of 30,000 RPM and attaches via a Type S quick-change button system. The disc measures 2 inches in diameter and weighs approximately 0.01 pounds. Metal fabricators, weld technicians, and maintenance professionals are the primary installers of this disc.
This disc is suited for use on 300 and 400 series stainless steel, brass, bronze, cast iron, copper, ductile iron, fiberglass and composites, gray iron, hard and soft carbon steels, super alloys, titanium, and tool steels. It is compatible with handheld disc sanders accepting Type S quick-change attachments. Typical applications include weld seam blending, light deburring, surface prep before coating, and finishing soft or hard metals in fabrication and maintenance environments where a non-woven, conformable abrasive is needed.
