The NORTON 66623325972 is an 8-inch hook and loop abrasive disc designed for surface finishing, blending, and preparation work on a wide range of substrates. Built with an aluminum oxide abrasive on a flexible non-woven construction, this disc delivers consistent 150-grit cutting action with a very fine grade finish. The hook and loop backing allows fast disc changes without tools, reducing downtime during production or service work. Rated to a maximum of 7,000 RPM, it is suited for use on angle grinders and random orbital sanders equipped with a compatible hook and loop pad. The blue non-woven material conforms to contoured and flat surfaces alike.
This disc is used in metal fabrication, automotive bodywork, woodworking, and general surface prep applications where a very fine finish is required. It is well suited for removing light oxidation, blending welds, and preparing surfaces before coating or painting. Trades including sheet metal workers, auto body technicians, and finish carpenters commonly use this disc type for final-stage surface conditioning. The flexible non-woven construction makes it effective on curved or irregular profiles where rigid abrasive discs would leave uneven results.
Designed for use with 8-inch hook and loop backing pads on angle grinders and random orbital sanders rated at or below 7,000 RPM. No vacuum holes are included, so this disc is intended for use with non-vented pads.
Installation and disc changes should be performed with the tool unplugged or the power source isolated. Confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 7,000 RPM maximum rating of the disc before operation. Align the disc squarely onto the hook and loop pad and press firmly to ensure full engagement before starting the tool. Inspect the disc for tears or wear before each use and replace if the abrasive surface is loading or glazed.
