The NORTON 66623325052 is a 2-inch diameter, TS (Type II) quick-change abrasive disc from the Bear-Tex Rapid Prep series. It uses a non-woven, high-loft nylon web backing with Vortex agglomerated aluminum oxide grain bonded with a proprietary Clean Bond resin system. Rated at a very fine 500 grit, the disc is designed for weld blending, surface conditioning, and finishing operations on a wide range of metals and composites. It mounts via a Type S attaching system and is rated for a maximum of 30000 RPM. The flexible nylon construction conforms to irregular surfaces and reduces the risk of gouging on softer base materials.
This disc is suited for light-to-medium surface prep work in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and field service environments. Typical applications include weld blending, deburring, and pre-finishing on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Compatible machine types include handheld disc sanders and straight grinders. The 2-inch diameter makes it practical for tight clearances and detail work that larger discs cannot reach. It is sold individually and carries a minimum order quantity of one unit.
Designed for use with handheld disc sanders and straight grinders equipped with a TS (Type II) Type S quick-change interface. Suitable for work on 300 Series Stainless, 400 Series Stainless, Brass, Bronze, Cast Iron, Copper, Ductile Iron, Fiberglass and Composites, Gray Iron, Hard Carbon Steels, Soft Carbon Steels, Super Alloys, Titanium, and Tool Steels.
Installation is performed by a trained technician or machinist using a compatible TS Type II quick-change backing pad. Before mounting or removing the disc, ensure the grinder or sander is fully powered down and disconnected from its power source. Verify the tool spindle speed does not exceed the disc maximum RPM rating before operation. Follow applicable ANSI B11 and OSHA 1910.215 abrasive wheel safety standards during mounting and use.
