The NORTON 66623325044 is a Bear-Tex Rapid Prep quick-change abrasive disc designed for surface preparation, weld blending, and light finishing on metal and composite substrates. Built on a flexible nylon web backing, it uses vortex agglomerated aluminum oxide grain bonded with proprietary Clean Bond resin technology. The very fine 500-grit rating and non-woven construction allow the disc to conform to contoured surfaces without loading or gouging. Rated to 40000 RPM, it attaches via a Type R attaching system and is compatible with TR Type III quick-change tooling. Licensed trades using die grinders or handheld disc sanders will find this disc well suited to deburring, blending, and final-pass finishing work.
This disc is used in metal fabrication, maintenance, and repair applications across residential and commercial settings. It is appropriate for weld blending, surface conditioning, and pre-finishing operations on a wide range of materials. Compatible machine types include die grinders and handheld disc sanders. The flexible nylon web backing makes it effective on flat and contoured workpieces where conformability matters. This disc is installed and replaced by machinists, metal fabricators, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians. Before mounting or changing the disc, power down the tool and confirm it is fully de-energized. Verify the tool spindle speed does not exceed the disc maximum RPM rating before use. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and discard any disc that shows tears, delamination, or core damage.
