The NORTON 66623325038 is a 3-inch non-woven quick-change abrasive disc from the Bear-Tex Rapid Prep series, designed for surface conditioning, weld blending, and finishing on a wide range of metals. It uses vortex agglomerated aluminum oxide grain bonded to a high-loft nylon web backing with proprietary Clean Bond resin technology. The fine grade cut makes it well-suited for light material removal, surface prep, and finishing passes where consistency matters. Rated to 20,000 RPM, it attaches via a Type R Speed-Lok TS system for fast, secure disc changes without tools. Licensed trades and industrial technicians rely on this disc for controlled, repeatable surface work.
This disc is built for use with die grinders and handheld disc sanders in both shop and field environments. Typical applications include weld seam blending, deburring, and pre-finishing on stainless steel, carbon steels, copper, brass, bronze, cast iron, ductile iron, gray iron, titanium, tool steels, super alloys, and fiberglass composites. Its flexible nylon web backing allows the disc to conform to contoured surfaces, making it useful in tight spaces and on irregular workpieces where rigid abrasives would leave high spots or gouges.
Compatible with die grinders and handheld disc sanders equipped with a Type R Speed-Lok TS quick-change attachment system. Suitable for use on 300 Series Stainless, 400 Series Stainless, brass, bronze, cast iron, copper, ductile iron, fiberglass and composites, gray iron, hard carbon steels, soft carbon steels, super alloys, titanium, and tool steels.
Installation is performed by pressing the disc onto a compatible Type R Speed-Lok TS mandrel until it seats fully and locks in place. Confirm the tool is unplugged or the air supply is disconnected before changing discs. Do not exceed the 20,000 RPM maximum disc speed rating. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and discard if the nylon web shows tears, separation, or uneven wear.
