The NORTON 666233-77539 is a 5-inch hook-and-loop abrasive paper disc engineered for fast blending, sanding, and stripping on a wide range of substrates. It uses a P-graded aluminum oxide abrasive that delivers quick material removal while keeping heat generation low, helping produce a consistent surface finish. The disc runs at up to 15000 RPM and mounts easily to standard orbital sanders or right-angle grinders via its hook-and-loop backing. A stearate coating minimizes clogging and extends disc life, making it well-suited for extended production use in body work, woodworking, and composite fabrication.
This disc is designed for coarse-grit material removal tasks including stripping, blending, and surface prep on primed or painted surfaces, bare wood, composites, aluminum, and fiberglass. The P80 grit level makes it an effective first-cut disc where aggressive stock removal is needed before finishing steps. The hook-and-loop attachment system allows fast disc changes without tools, reducing downtime during high-volume sanding operations. It is commonly used by auto body technicians, woodworkers, and general fabricators working with orbital or random-orbit grinders.
Designed for use with 5-inch hook-and-loop orbital sanders and right-angle grinders rated for abrasive disc attachments.
Ensure the sander or grinder is powered off and unplugged before mounting or removing the disc. Verify the tool's maximum RPM rating meets or exceeds the disc's 15000 RPM rating before use. Press the disc firmly onto the hook-and-loop pad to ensure full contact before operating. Wear appropriate eye and respiratory protection when sanding, particularly on painted or composite surfaces.
