The NORTON 666233-53310 is a resin fiber disc designed for heavy stock removal on metal and other hard surfaces. Built with an aluminum oxide abrasive grain bonded to an FX370 fiber backing, this disc delivers consistent cut rates and durability under load. At 50 grit, it is suited for aggressive grinding, weld blending, and surface preparation tasks. With a 4.5-inch diameter and 7/8-inch arbor hole, it mounts to standard right-angle grinders used daily by fabricators, pipefitters, and ironworkers. The fiber backing resists tearing under pressure, extending disc life during sustained use.
This disc is used in metal fabrication shops, structural steel work, pipe work, and general industrial applications where fast material removal is the priority. The 50-grit rating makes it appropriate for initial weld seam grinding, deburring heavy flash, and cleaning corroded or scaled metal surfaces before finishing passes. It is sold by the box with a minimum order quantity of one box, making it practical for both job-site restocking and shop supply.
Designed for use with standard right-angle grinders accepting a 4.5-inch resin fiber disc with a 7/8-inch arbor hole.
Installation is performed by qualified operators familiar with angle grinder safety. Ensure the grinder is unplugged or the battery is removed before mounting or removing the disc. Inspect the disc for cracks or damage before each use and never operate above the maximum RPM rating marked on the disc. Follow ANSI B7.1 and applicable workplace safety standards when operating grinding equipment.
