The NORTON 666233-33615 is a 4-1/2 inch non-woven hook and loop abrasive disc engineered for surface cleaning, prepping, blending, detailing, and finishing across a wide range of metals and composites. It uses a patented Vortex agglomerated aluminum oxide grain that delivers the cutting performance of a coarser grit while producing the surface finish typically associated with a finer grit. High-loft nylon fibers bonded to a nylon scrim backing provide structural rigidity and durability through extended use. This disc mounts via hook and loop attachment on a compatible right-angle grinder and is sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 25 units.
This disc is suited for professional metalworking and fabrication environments where smear-free, clean finishes are required on demanding materials. Typical applications include final surface prep and finishing on stainless steel, tool steel, titanium, super alloys, and high nickel content alloys, as well as surface cleaning and blending on cast iron, ductile iron, gray iron, copper, aluminum, fiberglass, composites, and carbon steel. It is commonly used in welding shops, metal fabrication facilities, and maintenance environments where a right-angle grinder is part of the standard workflow.
Designed for use with right-angle grinders equipped with a hook and loop backup pad sized for 4-1/2 inch abrasive discs. Compatible materials include stainless steel, tool steel, titanium, super alloys, high nickel content alloys, cast iron, ductile iron, gray iron, copper, aluminum, carbon steel, fiberglass, and composites.
Installation and disc changes should be performed by qualified personnel following all applicable machine safety procedures. Ensure the grinder is fully powered down and unplugged before mounting or removing the disc. Verify the backup pad is rated for the disc diameter and the grinder RPM rating meets or exceeds the disc RPM rating before operation. Always use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye and face protection when operating grinding and surface prep equipment.
