The NORTON 66261170271 is a 2-inch quick-change non-woven abrasive disc from the Bear-Tex Rapid Prep series, designed for surface conditioning work on metal substrates. It uses an aluminum oxide abrasive bonded to a nylon web backing with a polyester reinforcement and engineered resin system, delivering consistent cut rate and extended disc life. The Type R (Roloc TR) attaching system allows fast one-handed disc swaps on a compatible die grinder. Rated at a maximum of 20,000 RPM, this coarse-grade disc handles aggressive material removal without the loading and glazing common in conventional bonded abrasives. It is sized at 2 inches in diameter with a 0.4-inch height profile.
This disc is suited for weld removal, mismatch correction, parting line cleanup, and surface blending on a wide range of metals. Compatible material applications include 300 and 400 series stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, cast iron, copper, ductile iron, gray iron, hard and soft carbon steels, super alloys, and titanium. It is intended for use with a die grinder equipped with a Type R quick-change hub. The flexible nylon web construction allows the disc to conform slightly to irregular surfaces, making it useful in both flat and contoured finishing applications across fabrication, welding, and maintenance environments.

Inspect the disc for damage before each use and replace if the nylon web shows tears, delamination, or unusual wear.
