The NORTON 66261149871 is a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) abrasive disc designed for stock removal and surface finishing on a wide range of materials. Part of the H920 series, it features a ceramic abrasive grain bonded to an F-weight paper backing for a balance of flexibility and durability. At 100 grit fine grade, the disc cuts aggressively enough for moderate material removal while leaving a surface ready for the next finishing stage. Each pack contains 100 discs, each measuring 5 inches in diameter. The PSA backing mounts directly to a compatible foam or rubber backup pad without clips or fasteners, reducing changeover time between discs.
These discs are suited for grinding, blending, and finishing operations on metal, wood, composites, and painted surfaces. Common applications include weld blending, surface prep before coating, and edge cleanup in fabrication and woodworking shops. The flexible paper backing conforms to slight surface contours, making the disc useful on both flat and moderately curved workpieces. No vacuum holes are present, so these discs are intended for use on solid backup pads rather than dust-extraction systems. The maroon-colored disc allows for quick visual identification on the shop floor.
Designed for use with 5-inch solid PSA backup pads on random-orbit sanders, right-angle grinders, and dedicated disc sanders that accept 5-inch PSA abrasive discs.
Installation is performed by qualified shop personnel or tradespeople familiar with abrasive tooling. Before mounting, ensure the backup pad surface is clean and free of debris or adhesive residue that could cause uneven seating. Press the disc firmly onto the backup pad and allow a moment for the adhesive to seat before applying the tool to the workpiece. Follow ANSI B7 abrasive safety standards and the tool manufacturer's maximum RPM rating — never exceed the rated speed printed on the disc or packaging.
