The NORTON 66261149562 is a ceramic adhesive-back sanding sheet designed for consistent, high-speed stock removal on flat and contoured surfaces. Supplied as a 45-yard roll at 2.75 inches wide, it uses a B-weight paper backing that balances flexibility with tear resistance. The ceramic abrasive grain is self-sharpening, making it well-suited for aggressive finishing passes where conventional aluminum oxide would wear out quickly. At 180 grit, it falls in the very fine range, producing smooth intermediate or final surfaces on wood, composites, and painted substrates. Installers, finish carpenters, cabinetmakers, and production woodworkers are the typical end users.
This sanding sheet is used in production and shop environments where a continuous roll format allows operators to cut custom lengths for random orbital, block, or inline sanders with PSA platens. The adhesive-back design eliminates the need for hook-and-loop conversion pads, providing a secure bond to smooth sanding blocks or machine platens. It is suited to residential millwork, cabinet shops, furniture finishing, and general woodworking operations where consistent grit performance across a long run is required.
Designed for use with PSA-style sanding blocks, inline sanders, and machine platens that accept adhesive-back sheets in a 2.75-inch wide format.
Clean and dry the sanding platen or block surface before applying the adhesive-back sheet to ensure full contact and prevent premature lifting. Align the sheet carefully before pressing down, as repositioning may reduce adhesive strength. Inspect the sheet periodically for loading or glazing and replace when cut rate drops noticeably. No power tools beyond standard woodworking equipment are required for sheet application or removal.
