The NORTON 66261139386 is a 320-grit aluminum oxide coated abrasive sanding sheet designed for fine material removal and surface finishing on wood, metal, and composite substrates. At extra fine grade with an open coat density, this sheet cuts cleanly while resisting loading, making it suitable for finish sanding between coats or preparing surfaces for final finishing. The B-weight paper backing provides a balance of flexibility and support for hand sanding or use with a pad sander. Rated for both dry and wet/dry applications, it holds up to light lubricated sanding passes as well. This sheet is part of the Series T214 line and weighs 0.04 pounds.
This sanding sheet is used in residential, commercial, and industrial finishing work where a fine, consistent scratch pattern is required. Woodworkers, painters, metal fabricators, and general contractors reach for extra fine 320-grit sheets when leveling primer, denibbing lacquer or polyurethane topcoats, or smoothing between finish coats on cabinetry and furniture. The wet/dry capability also makes it applicable for automotive bodywork and wet sanding of clear coats with appropriate lubricant.
Designed as a standard 9 x 11 format coated abrasive sheet compatible with hand sanding blocks and orbital pad sanders that accept cut sheet stock of equivalent dimensions.
No power tools or electrical shutoff is required for hand sanding applications. When using with a powered pad sander, secure the sheet firmly per the tool manufacturer's clamping instructions before operation. For wet sanding applications, use an appropriate lubricant such as water or soapy water and avoid saturating adjacent finished surfaces. Dispose of worn sheets promptly as a degraded abrasive can leave uneven scratch patterns on finish coats.
