The NORTON 66261138671 is a 2-inch quick-change abrasive disc designed for fast stock removal and surface conditioning in demanding trade applications. Built on a heavy Y-weight polyester backing, it runs at up to 30,000 RPM on handheld disc sanders. The zirconia alumina abrasive grain is rated 36 grit, placing it in the very coarse range, which makes it well-suited for aggressive grinding, weld blending, and deburring. A self-lubricating treatment helps manage heat buildup during extended use. The Speed-Lok TR (Type III) attachment system provides secure, tool-free disc changes, reducing downtime on the job. Fabricators, welders, and metalworkers are the primary users of this disc.
This disc is rated for use on a broad range of materials including 300 and 400 series stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, fiberglass and composites, hard and soft carbon steels, and hard and soft woods. It is designed for use with handheld disc sanders equipped with a Speed-Lok TR or Type R attachment system. The rigid backing keeps the disc flat against the workpiece, which is critical for consistent weld blending and flat surface stock removal. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 25 units per purchase.
Designed for handheld disc sanders equipped with a Speed-Lok TR (Type III) or Type R quick-change attachment system. Compatible materials include 300 Series Stainless, 400 Series Stainless, Aluminum, Brass, Bronze, Fiberglass and Composites, Hard Carbon Steels, Soft Carbon Steels, Hard Woods, and Soft Woods.
Installation and disc changes should be performed by a qualified operator with the tool powered off and disconnected from its power source. Verify the disc is fully seated and locked into the quick-change hub before starting the tool. Do not exceed the 30,000 RPM maximum rated speed. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and discard any disc that shows cracking, fraying, or delamination.
