The NORTON 66261138670 is a coated quick-change abrasive disc designed for aggressive stock removal, weld blending, and deburring on metal and composite surfaces. Built on a heavy Y-weight polyester backing, this rigid disc maintains shape under load and resists tearing during extended grinding passes. At 2 inches in diameter and rated to 30,000 RPM, it mounts via a Speed-Lok TR (Type III) attachment system compatible with Type R quick-change holders. The 50-grit zirconia alumina abrasive is a coarse-grade formulation suited for fast material removal on hard and soft metals, wood, and fiberglass.
This disc is used in handheld disc sander applications across fabrication, maintenance, and surface prep work. Typical applications include weld blending on stainless steel, deburring on aluminum and brass, and stock removal on carbon steels and fiberglass composites. The rigid backing and coarse grit make it a practical choice for production grinding where consistent cut rate and disc longevity matter. It is sold individually but requires a minimum order quantity of 100 units.
Designed for use with handheld disc sanders equipped with a Type R quick-change holder accepting Speed-Lok TR (Type III) discs. Suitable for grinding and surface prep on 300 and 400 series stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, hard and soft carbon steels, fiberglass and composites, and hard and soft woods.
Installation and disc changes should be performed with the tool unplugged or the air supply disconnected. Verify the backing pad is rated to at least 30,000 RPM before mounting this disc. Inspect the disc for cracks or damage before each use and do not exceed the maximum rated speed. This product is intended for use by trained trade professionals operating appropriate personal protective equipment including face shields and grinding gloves.
