The NORTON 66261138145 is a coated abrasive quick-change disc from the Gemini R228 series, designed for use with Speed-Lok TS (Type S, Type II) attachment systems on handheld disc sanders. This 2-inch diameter disc uses aluminum oxide abrasive grain on an X-weight, 2-ply cotton cloth backing, rated at a maximum of 30,000 RPM. At 100 grit fine grade, it is suited for deburring, surface cleaning, blending, and light stock removal on metal workpieces. Fabricators, metalworkers, and maintenance trades install this disc for controlled finishing passes where a flexible, durable abrasive backing is needed.
This disc is intended for metalworking applications on a wide range of materials including 300 and 400 series stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, soft carbon steels, hard carbon steels, and titanium. Its flexible cloth backing allows it to conform slightly to contoured or complex surfaces, making it well suited for deburring edges, cleaning weld zones, and detail work in fabrication and maintenance environments. It mounts to handheld disc sanders equipped with a Type S quick-change hub without tools.
Designed for use with Type S (Speed-Lok TS, Type II) quick-change handheld disc sanders. Compatible material applications include 300 series stainless, 400 series stainless, aluminum, brass, bronze, soft carbon steels, hard carbon steels, and titanium. Minimum order quantity is 100 units; package quantity is 1.
Installation is performed by metalworkers and fabricators using compatible Type S quick-change disc sanders — no tools are required to mount or remove the disc. Before changing discs, power down and disconnect the tool from its power source per standard lockout/tagout practice. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and do not exceed the 30,000 RPM maximum speed rating. Eye protection and appropriate PPE are required during all grinding and finishing operations.
